We are so glad you are here.

We hope you will quickly feel right at home as a part of our church family! If you're a regular person, with ups and downs, accomplishments and failures, strengths and weaknesses... you'll fit right in. We bring it all to Christ, together.

North Ridge Church is pursuing a passion for Jesus. We are a church not for ourselves, joyfully loving our city, and bringing hope to the nations

North Ridge Church is in a season of leadership transition, as Pastor Sam & Deborah McGarvey concluded their ministry at the end of September.  We continue to pray for the McGarvey's as they move into a new chapter of ministry as well as partial retirement.  Meanwhile, we believe this is a benchmark time of significance and value at North Ridge Church.  Not only can we be confident the Lord will lead us, we know He is actively moving among us.  He has wonderful things for us in this journey through transition, not just at the resolution point!  Most importantly, this must be a season of prayer for everyone who calls North Ridge Church “home,” that we will all be sensitive to the Lord’s leading, spiritually discerning, and faithful to trust Him together every step of the way.

The Elders and Governing Board have selected a Pastoral Search Committee, which has the responsibility of working through applications and discerning who should be presented to the Elders as potential candidates, one at a time. Our committee is made up of two elders, two governing board members, and two members of our congregation. They are: Rob Volstad, Dru Holdren, Katherine Grimshaw, Paul Boruff, Jack Diamond, and Leanne Barnard.  Upon the Search Committee's recommendations, the Elders conduct interviews and will eventually make a final decision, having considered the congregation's input through a non-binding vote by church members.

If you are fairly new to North Ridge, or visiting, as one church family- we wholeheartedly welcome you!  These are times when we’re all reminded that Jesus is our Chief Shepherd, and we’re honored to have you follow Him together with us in this unique season.  We hope you’ll continue to make North Ridge your church home and family, and know you are a valued part of this fellowship.  You've come at just the right time!

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever, Amen! (Heb.13:20-21)

It’s official! Starting on July 17th, we will combine our services into one regular Sunday morning service at 10:30, which will be both in person and live streamed. Classes will begin at 9:00. Thank you to all who provided valuable feedback and insight as the Elders & Governing Board have been weighing this decision. We have received responses from many church members, and were encouraged by what was essentially unanimous support for making this change.

We believe the Lord has a special season ahead for North Ridge Church, even though it involves such a significant pastoral transition. Being able to gather and worship all together is a joy we’re looking forward to! When the time comes and we need more. Our service is streamed live.

At North Ridge you'll find a wide range of young and seasoned adults, as well as many singles, couples, families, and kids, and all in a wide variety of casual to formal dress. Anyone with a sincere worshipful or seeking heart is welcome!

We usually celebrate the Lord's Supper (Communion) on the first Sunday of each month. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, and He is your Lord, you are welcome to participate in Communion; you don't have to be a member of North Ridge Church.

After the service, it is common for people to spend time in response, receiving or ministering in prayer for one another in the front or throughout the sanctuary as needed. Always feel free to come forward during or after a service; we would be honored to serve you in prayer ministry for any need in your life. It is our joy to listen, and respond in Jesus' name as He directs.

For Children & Families

As we are changing to a one service Sunday morning model, there are critical needs for loving and responsible people to serve-especially in Sunday morning NRC Kids Ministries. For the time being, we will continue Nursery(0-2yrs) only during the main service. We will have Kids Classes during the 9:00am Classes hour, but unfortunately we will not have Kids Church during our Service at this time. We are actively looking for volunteers to help fill our needs to make that happen soon. We will be communicating with you as those changes develope.

We will be sharing more about those opportunities soon. Please prayerfully consider how you can be a part of rebuilding a healthy, thriving Kids Ministry, or perhaps serving in the area of Sunday morning hospitality. Thank you!

Location & Parking

We are located at 7601 Falls of Neuse Rd, in North Raleigh, just north of Ravenscroft School, or 1.5 miles south of I-540.  There are two entrances to our campus, with plenty of parking in front and behind the main church building.  The front doors to the church are located directly underneath the tall brick tower with a white cross, easily seen from down the street.  The NRC Kids Education Building is directly behind the sanctuary, and next to that you'll see the Family Life Center, home of the North Ridge Basketball Academy.
